NMT Micro Funds 2025

In 2025, the "NMT Micro Funds for Development and Transfer" supported three projects initiated by DIES alumni teams following the implementation of their multiplication training. These projects include a book publication by Team Bolivia titled "Light in the Chaos: Reflections on Risk Management in Higher Education", an online training initiative titled CULTURE developed by Team Peru to enhance intercultural compentence among mobility managers in Peruvan higher educaiton institutions", and a podcast series by Team Indonesia on "Transformating Indonesian Higher Education leadership".

The Spanisch-language book “Light in the Chaos: Reflections on Risk Management in Higher Education” aims to document and share real-world experiences of risk and crisis management in higher education in Latin America. It provides region-specific insights and lessons learned to enhance institutional resilience.

The digital CULTURE course, hosted on a moodle platform, includes independent e-learning activities as well as participation in synchronous online sessions. It consists of three modules: (1) Undergraduate Academic Mobility Management, (2) Transformational Leadership, and (3) Intercultural Competences.

In the podcast series produced by Team Indonesia, NMT participants--- mainly deans and vice-deans--- shared their ideas, experiences, and leadership journeys in strengthening their capacity to design and implement their Project Action Plans (PAP). Each episode highlights one participant, focusing on the real challenges they encountered in implementing their PAPs, the leadership strategies they applied to address institutional and organizational constraints, and the key lessons they learned throughout the process.

Together, these three initiatives illustrate the tangible impact of the NMT in fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge transfer across diverse higher education contexts.
