Amira Waly

Vita

Prof. Waly is the director of the Task Force for Internationalization in Higher Education (TFIHE) Program and a Professor of Paediatric Surgery (PhD. 2002). She is the Director of the Competency-Based MBBCh Program at the Zagazig University and the Deputy Director at the Zagazig University International Relations Centre. Moreover, she is a Member of the Reform of Undergraduate Medical Program Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt. She is an Academic Standards Expert Trainer at the National Authority of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Egypt. She obtained Diploma of Health Professions Education-Suez Canal University-Egypt (2009) and MSc Clinical Education-University of Edinburgh-UK (2013). Prof. Waly is a Certified Professional Trainer by the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) as well as a Certified Academic English Tutor in Higher Education by the British council 2019 in Egypt. She is a DIES MoI Alumnus 2017/2018. Since 2005, she has delivered professional faculty development training courses in the fields of Quality and Accreditation Standards, Curriculum Design, Educational Strategies, Assessment of Student Achievement, Communication Skills, Intercultural Communication, Scientific Writing and Publication, Leadership and Effective Team Building Skills and Continuous Professional Development skills.
