Dr. Elgidius B. Ichumbaki is a lecturer in the Dept. of Archaeology and Heritage Studies, College of Humanities at University of Dar es Salaam. His Research and Teaching Interests focus on Heritage Studies, Community Archaeology, Maritime Heritage, Archaeology of Buildings, Intangible Heritage, Public Archaeology, Contract Archaeology, Archaeology of Trees, and Swahili Archaeology.
