Internationalisation and Sustainable Development: Accra Technical University's Experience

OUTLINE: The need for HEIs to adopt sustainable practices is globally recognized and some HEIs have integrated sustainable development into their strategic plans. Internationalization is seen as a catalyst for driving sustainable development in HEIs. The notion is to share ATU’s experience on sustainability through internationalization, what are the challenges and the opportunities available.

 

Addressing the SDGs through Collaborative Online Learning

OUTLINE: The contribution of Higher Education Institutions to achieving the SDGs is crucial, not only in shaping future leaders and professionals but also as key drivers of research, innovation, and the adoption of sustainable practices. Universidad Antonio Nariño is embedding sustainable practices into its academic curriculum through Inter-Institutional cooperation and Collaborative Online International Learning- COIL. This presentation will highlight two concrete examples of how institutions are advancing awareness and commitment in our students regarding the challenges of the 2030 Agenda.
