International and Collaborative Learning with a Focus on Gender, Diversity, and Inclusion between Civil Society Organizations in Latin America

by Yamila Silva Peralta (Argentina)

OUTLINE: In this session, the author shares a project designed to enhance collaborative internationalization among Latin American civil society organizations, emphasizing gender, diversity, and inclusion. Thirty-two representatives from 15 civil society organizations across Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, and Peru have participated in the initiative. Six high-performance teams were established with the aim of co-designing a social project focusing on gender, diversity, and inclusion. Key outcomes achieved through the project included the establishment and maintenance of international strategic alliances among the fifteen civil society organizations. Additionally, the professionalization of work teams was enhanced, equipping them with the skills required to apply for international funding opportunities. The project contributed significantly to the 2030 Agenda, specifically addressing SDG 17 “Partnerships for the Goals” and SDG 5 “Gender Equality.”
