Internationalisation for Society: A World Outside Higher Education Institutions-The Case of the Internationalisation Laboratory (LIVETAPLA)
by Daniela Herrera & Carolina Franco (Colombia)
OUTLINE: This session explores the emerging concept of internationalisation for society, focusing on how universities in Latin America are bridging global perspectives with local social needs. It features the LIVETAPLA Project, an innovative laboratory established through collaboration between Colombia, Chile, and Argentina, which has been dedicated for more than a year to developing a proposed framework to guide universities in designing internationalisation initiatives with meaningful social impact. This session will share insights on best practices, collaborative workshop experiences, and how this approach challenges traditional models towards a more inclusive, decolonial vision of internationalisation.
