Zeina El Zein
Vita
Zeina is an assistant professor of architecture with more than 10 years of research experience in sustainable urban design and water management. She is a previous visiting researcher at the Humboldt University in Berlin and a Fulbright Alumna at the University of Texas in Austin. She participated in establishing a new undergraduate program: Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design, at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. The program includes interdisciplinary courses to equip architects with the knowledge and experience to address global challenges and sustainable development goals. She worked as a consultant for an urban greening project, in addition to coordinating a 6-week summer camp for kids in historic Cairo to learn about sustainability and heritage. She participated as a jury to the Action for Wetland Fund by RAMSAR and worked as a reviewer in international journals and as an editor with international publishers. She is currently a UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board Member.
