Dr Odalys Medina Hernández is the president of the National Commission for Sociocultural Management for Development at the Ministry of Higher Education in Cuba. She is a professor of Sociocultural Management at the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University of Cienfuegos and an expert in quality assessment for the Cuban National Accreditation Board for university programs in the social sciences and humanities. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Sociocultural Studies and Sociocultural Anthropology from the University of Cienfuegos and her doctorate from the Marta Abreus Central University of Las Villas, Cuba, in 2014.
