LEAP (Leadership Enhancement through Awareness and Peer-Learning) for Transformational Change)

About the training:

This multiplication training is a national leadership development program designed to equip leaders of Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in Indonesia with transformational capabilities to navigate the complex challenges of educating Generation Z while preparing for the dynamics of Generation Alpha. Through an innovative peer-learning model, the program focuses on strategic issues such as artificial intelligence (AI), mental health, and leadership agility in response to the growing complexity of higher education governance. The key objective of the course is to bring together approximately 25 university leaders from universities across Indonesia to strengthen their capacity to face the challenges of leadership in a rapidly changing higher education landscape. Core topics such as strategic faculty management, financial management, quality assurance, and leadership will form the backbone of this course.

Expected learning outcomes:

Participants will:

• Demonstrate increased self-awareness and improved transformational leadership competencies.
• Develop and implement actionable strategies through Project-Action Plans (PAPs) to address institutional challenges and opportunities, driving meaningful transformation within their respective institutions.
• Establish cross-institutional networks, enabling ongoing collaboration and shared learning.
• Contribute to the strategic transformation of their institutions by strengthening cross-functional leadership teams—comprising Rectors, Deans, Heads of Programs, and Heads of academic support units—to foster effective and efficient collaboration, driving holistic and sustainable organisational change.

Target group:

This program is tailored for leadership teams from Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in Indonesia, which face increasing competition both domestically and internationally. To maximise collaborative and cross-functional learning, the program incorporates a unique peer-learning model with carefully selected participants. Of the 25 participants, representation will span Indonesia's five major islands: Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Bali, and Papua. The group includes Rectors/Vice Rectors, Deans, Heads of Programs, and Leaders of academic support units—a structure that reflects the typical hierarchy in PHEIs.
