Internal Quality Assurance Systems in Higher Education Institutions in Rwanda

About the training

This programme, part of the Dialogue for Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES), aims to enhance the capacity of establishing, assessing, and managing Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) systems in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Rwanda.

This National Multiplication Training Programme provides a unique opportunity for academic managers and faculty leaders in Rwandan HEIs to strengthen their capabilities in IQA system establishment and management. By fostering a collaborative and practical learning environment, the programme aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of higher education quality in Rwanda.

Expected learning outcomes

The primary goal of the training is to enhance the participants’ expertise in the establishment, assessment, and management of IQA systems. By integrating practical projects and case studies, participants will be able to apply their learning directly to their institutions.

By the end of the training, the participants (academic managers) should have acquired tools, skills and knowledge necessary to address the challenges they encounter daily in handling quality education and IQA-related issues, and design and submit a project that support their institutions and departments that relates to the training topics.
