About the training

The programme is themed ‘New Academic Career Model for University Sustainable Development and Meeting Challenges of the 21st Century’. The program focuses on developing a sustainable academic career progression model for institutions of higher education in Malaysia.

Expected learning outcomes

By the end of the training course, the participants are expected to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the performance gaps and challenges within the existing academic career model in Malaysian universities.

  2. Have acquired knowledge and skills related to designing and implementing new academic career pathways and recognition systems, including Key Intangible Performance (KIP) metrics.

  3. Have enhanced leadership competencies necessary for sustainable academic career progression, including skills in decision-making, communication, and strategic planning.

Target group

The target group of the program comprises academicians in the early stages of their academic careers.
