Kenya - Quality Leadership and Management

About the training:

The overall goal of the training is to enhance quality in higher education by transforming the management roles of middle-level managers in higher education through sharing knowledge gained during DIES training courses. The objectives of the training are to evaluate the role of deans and directors in university management, identify leadership and management skills, examine resource management at the faculty level, and discuss quality Management.

Expected learning outcomes:

By the end of the training course the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Increase understanding of the roles of deans and directors in university management.
  • Enhance leadership and management skills.
  • Understand quality management and internationalization in higher education.

Target group:

The target group is Deans and Directors of faculties/ schools serving their first term. These are the middle-level managers in the universities where top university managers are drawn from.

Training dates:

  1. Workshop I: 19th December - 22nd December 2017

  2. Workshop II: 24th July - 27th July 2018
