Kihumulo Grace Patrick


Kihumulo Grace Patrick is the Director of Quality Assurance and Enhancement at Kepler, with over 9 years of experience in administration, teaching, research and quality assurance in higher education. Prior to joining Kepler, he served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Lecturer of Procurement and Logistics at KIM University, where he provided leadership in key areas of accreditation, academic quality assurance, ISO 9001:2015 certification and he has been able to manage both institutional and programme accreditation process in accordance with the established laws and standards at national and regional level.
He is the founding member and the first Chairperson of Rwanda Higher Education Quality Assurance Network (RWAQAN), once Vice President (2018-2021) and Country Representative – Rwanda (2016-2018) at East Africa Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN). He has experience working in the East African countries, with extensive experience working in Rwanda and Uganda. He is a member of two Technical Committees at Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) that are RSB/TC 014 and RSB/TC 033. He is a trained quality assurance expert and a peer reviewer for the High Education Council (HEC) and Inter University Council of East Africa (IUCEA).

Patrick holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Strategic Management (2014), and a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Procurement and Logistics Management (2010). He is currently working on a research proposal in preparation for a PhD at University of Nairobi (UON). He has also undergone various training in quality assurance and self-assessment by HEC and IUCEA. His key competencies include Higher Education Quality Assurance, Accreditation, ISO 900:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), Curriculum Review and Development, QMS auditing, and Teaching and Research.
