Istianah Muslim has been appointed Head of Planning, Development, and Quality Assurance of Polytechnic Caltex Riau (PCR) Indonesia since 2022. Before that, she served as Head of Internal Quality Assurance of PCR (2018–2020), Head of Planning and Development of PCR (2020–2022), Head of External Quality Assurance (2022-now), and Head of Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for managing grants and funds in PCR (2023). She has been a permanent lecturer at PCR since 2014. She teaches and conducts research in various courses such as business analysis, supply chain management, enterprise resource planning, production management, information technology, and ergonomics. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Universitas Andalas in Padang and her master's from the Department of Industrial Engineering of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in Surabaya. She has been involved in various national and international PCR grants since 2015. She has been a trainer, facilitator, and speaker in the field of quality assurance and university governance in LLDIKTI Regional X. She also accomplished certification as an internal auditor of SPMI, IT Auditor, and SPMI Regional Facilitator in VHE, Kemdikbudristek. She participated in Empowering Polytechnic Leader in Indonesia (ERICA), a DIES NMT program funded by DAAD, in which she became the best presenter and had the best Project Action Plan (PAP). In 2023, she participated in the DIES NMT Training of Trainer Workshop (ToT) in Germany. Her characteristics include high motivation and commitment, responsibility, a love of challenges, and a desire to learn.
