Ezekiel Onyonka Mecha

Dr Ezekiel Onyonka Mecha is a senior lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Nairobi. Dr Mecha is the coordinator of International Programs and Linkages at the Faculty of Science and Technology and is also a member of the University of Nairobi Internationalization Committee.
Dr Mecha holds a PhD in reproductive endocrinology from Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany and has more than 15 years of experience in research, academia, industry and advocacy of reproductive health conditions. Dr Mecha is a board member of the World Endometriosis Society, and the only African on the board. Additionally, Dr Mecha is currently spearheading a multi-sectoral and multi-professional approach in the management of endometriosis and adenomyosis through the involvement of all stakeholders with an ultimate goal of establishing endometriosis government policy document in Kenya. He is a DAAD alumnus and a certified consultant in biorisk management and biosecurity by the International Federation for Biosafety Association (IFBA). Dr Mecha is the chairman of Kenya DAAD Scholars Association, at the University of Nairobi, and a member of Kenya DAAD Scholars Association National Executive Council.
