Vita
Nguyen Thi Huyen is a lecturer at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, VNU-HCM University of Science, a DIES UNILEAD alumna (2015), and a leading interdisciplinary expert in higher education quality assurance, intellectual property, and university governance. With more than 23 years of experience in academia, policy advisory, and institutional development, she serves as a national accreditor appointed by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and as an ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance assessor. Huyen has conducted over 70 institutional and program assessments across Vietnam and ASEAN, advancing outcome-based education, digital transformation, and internationalisation. She has contributed to leading strategic reforms in university governance and IP systems, QA, strengthening innovation and institutional performance, while contributing to major international initiatives funded by USAID, DAAD, Fulbright, Temasek and others. She has also organised and delivered more than 130 professional development programs for faculty, academic managers, leaders and policymakers over the years, and has been a speaker for local and international workshops and conferences.
