Eduardo Alvarez

Vita

Eduardo Alvarez is the Co-Director of Studies, Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG), and former Dean of the School of Sciences and Humanities, Head of the Physics Department, and Applied Economics and Business Master Program Director. He is a professor and researcher at UVG and the International University of Andalucía. At present time, his duties are related to the coordination of activities related to evaluation and accreditation of programs and the coordination of the Institutional Accreditation process that UVG recently obtained with Hcéres from France. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from UVG, and his master´s degree in Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta. He has also received the Third World Academy of Sciences award in Physics. He is A former member of the Experts Group on Transfer of Technology from the UNFCCC, and President of the Basic Sciences Commission of the National Council of Science and Technology. He is a former member of ACAAI.
