María Alejandra Maldonado Adrián

Vita

María Alejandra obtained her law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Venezuela (2003), her Master of Law degree from University of Illinois, U.S.A. (2007) and is a PhD candidate from Universitat Abat Oliba CEU, Spain. She has more than ten years of experience in the field of international education. Since 2012, she has served as Director of International Relations at Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP), in Peru. She has participated and managed several international cooperation projects. She was a member of the Executive Committee of REDIPERU (Peruvian Network for Internationalisation of Higher Education, 2019- 2020) and has been a speaker at several events, workshops and conferences. Her training in the NMT 2023-2024 workshop series focused on explaining what internationalisation is according to each institutional identity and context, considering the Peruvian internationalisation requirements to obtain institutional authorisation to operate; project management to advance on internationalisation of higher education (with emphasis on change and crisis management) and international cooperation to successfully collaborate with German Higher Education Institutions.
