Alois Chiromo
Vita
Prof Alois S Chiromo is the current executive director of Quality Assurance and Professional Development at Midlands State University (Zimbabwe). He has served Midlands State University in various capacities namely; founding chairperson of the Applied Education Department, acting director of research, dean of the Faculty of Education and acting pro-vice-chancellor (academic affairs). He earned a Certificate in Education, a BEd in Biology, a MEd in Teacher Education and a PhD in Education, all obtained from the University of Zimbabwe. He has been a teacher throughout his life; 9 years as a secondary school teacher, 6 years as a lecturer in a teachers’ college and 23 years as a university lecturer. He also holds several certificates in Higher Education Quality Assurance.
