Shuri Mariasih Gietty Tambunan, PhD, is a lecturer and Head of the Literature Postgraduate Program at Universitas Indonesia. Formerly Head of the English Studies Undergraduate Program (2014-2020) and Vice Dean (2020-2022), she is an alumna of the DIES International Dean’s Course Southeast Asia (2022-2023). With a PhD from Lingnan University, Hong Kong (2013), her research centres on the transnational flow of East Asian popular culture in Indonesia. She holds an MA in Cultural Studies from Universitas Indonesia (2007) and another from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands (2010). Since 2020, she's been a member of the Film Committee, Jakarta Arts Council.
