In 2025, the "NMT Micro Funds for Development and Transfer" supported three projects initiated by DIES alumni teams following the implementation of their multiplication training. These projects include a book publication by Team Bolivia titled "Light in the Chaos: Reflections on Risk Management in Higher Education", an online training initiative titled CULTURE developed by Team Peru to enhance intercultural compentence among mobility managers in Peruvan higher educaiton institutions", and a podcast series by Team Indonesia on "Transformating Indonesian Higher Education leadership". 

This year's Forum, held under the theme “New Realities, New Roles: Higher Education Management in Challenging Times,” took place across two sessions.

The joint NMT event for the 2023–2024 and 2025–2026 cohorts was held in Berlin from July 21 to 25, offering a wide range of opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The NMT Programme starts a new cohort of 2023-2024, in which 16 DIES Alumni Teams from Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia were selected to implement multiplication training in their home countries.

Under the concept of “from alumni, for alumni”, DIES Alumni Forum is aiming to bring together alumni from different DIES training courses to share their views and perspectives on recent developments in higher education as well as to exchange practices and discuss the pressing issues in the dynamic field of higher education management and its capacity building from an interregional perspective. 

In order to promote the further establishment of the multiplication training courses in the target regions and the transfer of the NMT expertise, the NMT Programme has started to support micro projects since 2021.

The NMT Programme starts a new cohort 21/22, in which 17 DIES alumni trainer teams will be supported to implement multiplication training in their home countries across ASEAN, Africa and Latin America.

The NMT Closing Workshop of Cohort 19/20 was successfully completed on 14 September 2021.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought tremendous challenges to the implementation of the national multiplication training courses.

The kick-off workshop of the NMT Project 2019-2020, Training of Trainers took place in Potsdam from September 1st to 5th, 2019.

The training in Colombia focused on internationalisation for peacebuilding for the higher education insitutions in former confilict-hit regions.

The second workshop in Ghana in the framework of the "DIES National Multiplication Training Programme" took place between August 27th and 29th, 2018.

The workshop in D.R. Congo in the framework of the "DIES National Multiplication Trainings Programme" took place between May 28th and 30th, 2018.

The workshop in Myanmar under the DIES National Multiplication Trianings programme took place at between February 26th and March 1st, 2018.

The Kick-off workshop "Training of Trainer" under the DIES programme National Multiplication Trainings (NMT) took place in Potsdam between 13 and 15 November 2017.
